Ami is the 19 year old daughter of Pat McConnell, Skylar Morrison, and Gwen Morrison, and has travelled 19 years into the past to our time, to try and prevent a terrible vampire attack that would lead to her future, in which Los Angeles was entirely populated by vampires, and where vamps were quickly taking over the world.
A slayer like Gwen was, Ami cutely enough has traits of all three of her parents: she has Skylar's lips and eyes, Gwen's smirk and sarcastic mouth, and a singing voice that could only come from Skylar and Pat.
Now stuck in a time where her future parents are barely older than her, Ami has to try to make a new life for herself while assuring that the events of her time never occur.
